Our Story

We met at our alma mater, Wilkes University. The first time we saw each other in person was a brief encounter — we didn’t exchange contact, nor did we see each other again for several months. Yet, fate gave us a second chance. It was during an Economics class that we crossed paths again. It felt as if life had carefully planned this reunion. Funny enough, we were in the same class for over a month before our paths reconnected — and it wasn’t until our professor began handing back the grades from the first exam that our destinies would intertwine once more. Jesus was the first to notice that the beautiful girl he had met some time ago was sitting just a few seats behind him. Jesus usually sat near the front of the classroom, while Natalie preferred to sit at the back. Both of us were very focused students, which is probably why we hadn’t realized each other’s presence sooner. After hearing Natalie’s full name, Jesus looked her up on Instagram after class. Natalie recalls receiving a friend request that same evening from someone named Jesus. He started liking some of her posts, and she liked a few of his in return. We exchanged likes a couple of times until she finally sent a simple “Hi,” and that’s how our conversation began. You could say that the first move was a team effort. As we got to know each other better, we discovered something incredible — we had actually met before! The photo of Jesus in the red Panama shirt, which you see here, was from the very first time we crossed paths: when Natalie was signing up for the club he was leading. Like we said before, we didn’t exchange names, phone numbers, or talk much — just a smile for the camera. What we didn’t know was that this small moment would lead us to where we are today, sharing our story. We like to call it ✨fate✨. After finding this picture, Jesus asked Natalie on a first date — and that’s where the rest of our wonderful story began.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by September 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your +1!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome to travel with you! Please reach out if you have questions!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Boquete, all of you out-of-towners! Boquete enjoys a mild, spring-like climate year-round, with temperatures in January averaging 60–75°F (16–24°C). Expect cool mornings and evenings with warm afternoons, perfect for an outdoor celebration. While January is part of the dry season, occasional light showers are possible, so bringing a light jacket or shawl is a good idea.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and reception is outdoors, but will have some areas under a roof :)

What should I wear?

Please see our Schedule for the dress code.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in, so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and make lasting memories
However, the ceremony is phone-free, so please make sure you tuck it away during the "I do's" :)

Where should I park?

The hotel has parking spaces on the premises.

Will food be served?

Absolutely! If you know us, we could not do this without delicious food. There will be starters before the main dinner service, and food will be served buffet-style.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive within an hour of the ceremony starting. There will be a cocktail hour with drinks and mini-activities to give you time to chat, relax, and find your seats.

Whom should I call with questions?

If any questions were not answered, please contact the bride or groom.
